In March 2024, I posted a video titled: “How I make time for everything (even with a full-time job)” It quickly became my most viewed video, now sitting at over 600,000 views. But here’s the truth: The title was a lie. I don’t make time for everything. Let me explain. That video was my attempt to share the best lessons I’ve learned while balancing life with a 9 to 5. Practical ideas that helped me carve out more time for what actually matters. Based on the comments and high view count, I’d like to think that I was somewhat successful. But there’s a trap that a lot of people fall into, including my younger self: The belief that if you just optimize hard enough, stack your habits right, and find the perfect routine, then you’ll finally be able to do it all. It doesn’t work like that. You can’t make time for everything. But you can make time for the few things that matter most. That’s what productivity advice usually skips. Do less, better. And you’ll make way more progress than if you try to do it all. All the tactical stuff works better once you cut the noise. It’s not about adding more to your to-do list or saying yes to every opportunity. It’s about getting brutally clear on what actually deserves your time. If I were being fully honest, that video should’ve been called: “How I make time for the few things I’ve decided matter most (even with a full-time job).” Not the most clickable title, I know. Once you make this shift, the hard part isn’t time management. It’s figuring out what really matters. That’s exactly what we focus on inside my new program, Purposeful Productivity. We go beyond the usual tactics and help you build a system that supports the life you actually want. One that aligns your time, your energy, and your tools. 👉 Click here to join the waitlist Have a productive rest of your week, Miles 🤙 |
